  • Overseeing service delivery and the matching of participants with support workers

Our story

Why did Peter co-found Lanara?

Peter and his father started Lanara with a shared view of what good support should feel like: genuine connection, dignity and consistency. They wanted a service where every interaction is guided by psychological understanding and a real commitment to the person’s wellbeing, and where support goes beyond completing tasks to building confidence, resilience and independence.

  • Genuine connection
  • Dignity
  • Consistency
Our approach

How does Lanara support people?

Lanara provides psychosocial support, social participation, personal care and daily living assistance across Sydney. Every one of our support workers holds a university degree in psychology or a related discipline, and our approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed. We put a strong emphasis on careful matching so that participants can build a steady, trusting relationship with their worker over time.

Lanara provides support work rather than therapy, medical care or nursing care. We work alongside the clinicians, coordinators and families around each person.
