Our articles and pages explain NDIS support and everyday wellbeing in plain language for participants, families, carers, support coordinators and health professionals in Sydney. This page explains how we write them, how we check them and how to tell us if something is wrong.

Who is responsible for our content?

Peter Saltamaras, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Lanara, oversees the articles published on our blog. Articles show his name as the author.

General information, not advice

Our content is general information only. It is not clinical, legal or financial advice, and Lanara provides support work, not therapy, medical care or nursing care. For advice about your own situation, please speak with your health professional, support coordinator or the NDIA.

If you are in crisis or your safety is at risk, call 000. You can also call the NSW Mental Health Line on 1800 011 511 or Lifeline on 13 11 14, any time.

How we check facts

  • We check facts about the NDIS against official sources, such as the NDIA, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and Australian and NSW government websites, and we link to them so you can check for yourself.
  • When a fact may change, such as a date, a price or a rule that is being phased in, we say when it was true (for example, “at the time of writing”).
  • We only describe Lanara’s services in ways we can stand behind. We do not publish made-up client stories, testimonials or results.
  • If we share a real person’s experience, we only do so with their written consent and change details that could identify them.

How we write

We write in plain Australian English and put the answer near the top. We avoid jargon, and when we have to use an NDIS term we explain it.

We may use digital tools, including AI writing tools, to help research, draft and edit. A person checks every article against the sources above before it is published, and Lanara is responsible for everything we publish.

Keeping content up to date

NDIS rules change often. We review our articles when the rules they describe change, and our service and area pages show the date they were last reviewed.

Independence

We do not publish paid or sponsored content, and we do not accept payment for links. When we mention other organisations or services, it is because they may be useful to you.

Corrections

If you think something on our website is wrong or out of date, please email info@lanara.com.au or call 1300 152 627. We will check it and, if it is wrong, correct it promptly.
